As we enter the holiday season, it’s time to fire up the heater and stay cozy on those cool winter nights. Even Florida has a winter, though we may prefer to crank up the heat until shorts are still comfy indoors. To do that, your gas furnace becomes the most important appliance in the house. After that initial smell of burning dust, your furnace should hum along all winter. But what if it doesn’t? We don’t use our heaters for much of the year, but reliable heating in the winter is vitally important. Knowing when to call for furnace repairs can keep you cozy all season and provide peace of mind for next winter. Aztil Air is here to help. 1. Strange Noises

Furnaces rarely make noise. You may hear some creaking right at first, but any serious noises are a bad sign.

  • Baning
  • Clanging
  • Squealing
  • Scraping

These sounds mean there is something wrong inside your gas furnace. These sounds can indicate loose or faulty components. Calling for repairs ASAP is the best way to stay safe and warm.

2. Inconsistent or Insufficient Heat

Your gas furnace should provide a steady flow of heat throughout the house. If you’re not getting enough heat, if the heat comes and goes, or if certain parts of your house have cold spots, there’s a problem. It could be an uncalibrated thermostat, clogged filters, problems with the blower fan, or a problem with the core heating system.

3. Short Cycling

A short cycle is when your furnace turns on and off repeatedly. This means it is not completing a full heating cycle and is likely taking damage and wasting energy with a very short cycle. Short cycles can be caused by a clogged air filter or signal problems from the thermostat. It can also happen if the furnace is overheating for some reason.

These should be powered and placed near the floor to detect a gas leak that could lead to suffocation inside the home. If a carbon monoxide detector goes off, immediately shut off the furnace, close any gas lines (including the stove or other gas-powered appliances), and open all the windows.

Then call for emergency inspection and repairs.

For those looking for a reputable AC company. We have been using Aztil for many years, as has my daughter n a few neighbors and friends. We had a loud noise coming from our air conditioner inside our house. We called aztil, and was told somebody would be at our house between 1 and 4:00 that same day.

I received an email and a phone call from Dana saying what time he would be here. Dana showed up at about 1:30, and promptly got to the issue. We needed a new inside fan, Dana got on the phone to the office, and then let us know that they had a fan and he was going to get it and he would be back.

He left and came back within a half hour 40 minutes and proceeded to put in the new fan. He changed our filters and asked if we had any questions.

Dana did a GREAT job and made sure we were happy. He was very polite, neat n clean and courteous. Could not ask for a better service call tech.

This morning, the battery for my AC system died, and when I looked at my thermostat the entire screen was blank. I started panicking because I couldn’t figure out what to do or how to replace the battery. My neighbor recommended Aztil Air Conditioning, so I called them right away. I spoke with the customer service manager, Sabrina, and she was truly incredible. She had me send her a picture of my thermostat, and then she personally walked me through the whole process step-by-step all through her own number. She was patient, kind, and made sure I understood everything. What really surprised me was that she didn’t charge me at all for the help. She told me she didn’t have to charge because she was able to guide me through it over the phone. That level of honesty and customer care is extremely rare.

Sabrina went above and beyond for me this morning, and I am truly grateful. I highly recommend Aztil Air Conditioning to anyone looking for a company that truly cares about their customers. Thank you again, Sabrina!

On /11/10 at 5:30 I had a service visit from Dana, My ac had a leak and eventually shut down. I cant say enough about his great attitude and knowledge.
